I am very pleased to announce that we have prayerfully updated our Mission Statement describing what WAY-FM is accomplishing in this new decade. The current version of our mission is the following…

Using media in a culturally relevant way to influence this generation to love and follow Jesus.

When the WAY-FM ministry first began in 1987 and through most of the 90’s, FM radio was our only source for impacting communities. Today, we use many forms of media, and not just radio, to share God’s love and impact lives. People access us now through streaming, listening on their mobile device, watching a YouTube video, or reading one of the many blogs our on-air hosts write.

In our previous mission statement WAY-FM stated that we existed to encourage people in their Christian lives; however, we are hearing from so many listeners that WAY-FM’s music and on air hosts are doing much more than just encouraging people. We hear from scores of people every week that God is working in a much deeper way. People often tell us that WAY-FM has radically changed their lives. Youth as well as adults email us that listening to WAY-FM has caused them to be more active in living out their faith resulting in a deeper relationship with Christ and serving others. This life change we are seeing among so many listeners is more accurately reflected in the second half of the revised mission statement… influencing this generation to love and follow Jesus.

Our dedicated staff and members of the WAY MEDIA Board of Directors believe that this revised mission statement will better guide this ministry in this new decade and beyond. I greatly appreciate all of you who faithfully pray and support your local WAY-FM outreach. As we partner together, many more lives can be impacted with the love of Jesus not only in your local area but around the world.
